“Stay away from negative people. They have a problem for every solution” – Albert Einstein
Wales and the Brecon Beacons saw the arrival of a big team with a big content mission. An adventure it most certainly was. The environment was a challenge, the weather even more so, nonetheless we persevered and came out with something to be proud of. After the Positive Outlook adventure, Celia returns to take control of the GH4 at 2:07, where it all began.
Coffee, property and a few Ablinq giggles along the way, and we find ourselves embarking on another trip. See Vol 8 to witness it.
A double whammy, it’s a long one but stick with it. Positive Outlook is a company that is destined to do great things, they are pioneering a new path for how sustainable materials can be made into luxurious clothing and accessories. Office improvements are underway and we have spearheaded the construction of the new desk, 100 year old oak and German steel came together inch perfectly.
The Positive Outlook location scout was a success, so we returned to film. See behind the scenes footage in Vol 7.
“All right, son: roll them guns up, count the money, and put your seat belt on.” – Big Chris
Celia Hodgson took one look at the gates of university and said ‘nah, that’s not for me’. Instead Celia worked hard at her passion for making videos and that brought her to working with Ablinq from November 2016. When leaving for her travels in April 2017 she left in style producing Vol-1 prior to departure. Celia has now returned safely and is an integral part of the creativity within Ablinq. (See Vol 8)
Thanks to IMG, Ablinq’s first steps on US turf had arrived. Bring on April 2017.
“You know, I don’t always play for the record books…” – Roger Federer
Producing a video for a boarding school may sound like a dull task, but fortunately for Ablinq, Stowe School like to stray from the well beaten track. Stowe embraced all the creative angles we threw at them, and we ended up with a 90 second School Film unlike any other. Shot by Will, Jimmy and Charlie and an original score from Paddy, as you can see above, this video was a pleasure to make.
Next month, our first PR event shooting cameras and guns.
“I sense something; a presence I’ve not felt since…” – Darth Vader
From a concrete cow in the countryside to a hopeful website company in Coventry, May was a month full of classic content production. Jimmy had recently passed his drone test so now sits alongside Will on the Ablinq pilots bench, Jimmy took the Mavic Pro for a spin over a wedding being shot by Jack and Will.
The DJI Mavic Pro is only a small drone… and Jimmy has just passed his license… give the man a real sized unmanned-aerial-vehicle! In June the DJI Inspire takes flight. Fly you fools.
“It’s a dangerous business going out of your door. You step onto the road and if you don’t keep your feet, theres no telling where you might be swept off to.” – Bilbo Baggins
April began in the land of the alligator. An IMG owned clothing brand called American Freshman needed a new brand film, where better to film college talent than the IMG Academy Florida. (Will tried his hardest to keep up with the athletes 0:56.) Ablinq hit the US and came back with a brand film for American Freshman that you can find in our gallery, the golden hour of Florida did wonders!
Backed up with a Drover Coffee fuelled trip to the welsh mountains and a sunny few days with George in Sandbanks for Reef Knots, this really was a month of unexpected journeys. Next up, May the 4th be with you.
“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us” – Gandalf

A flat white here and a cappuccino there, this is volume 1 of what we hope to be a prosperous vlogging journey. Thanks to IMG, Ablinq’s first steps on US turf had arrived. Bring on Vol 2.
